Scottish media reveals details about Ianis Hagi (25 years old), as he has returned to training with the senior team of the Scottish club.
Having been „exiled” for a while to the reserve team, not being wanted by Philippe Clement, Ianis Hagi is experiencing a turnaround regarding his future at Rangers.
The Scots announce that Ianis Hagi has been reintegrated into the first team squad and training sessions at Rangers after a discussion involving all parties concerned, resolving the situation regarding Ianis's contract.
Moreover, it seems that Ianis Hagi will start playing for Rangers in the league at the first opportunity (the match against St. Johnstone, Sunday, at 22:00, in the seventh round of the league), after not being included in the UEFA Europa League squad.
Ianis Hagi was sidelined due to a clause in his contract, according to which his salary would have increased if he played another official match. He has played 99 games for Rangers since his transfer. The salary that Rangers would have been obliged to offer Ianis was the major issue, considering that the Romanian is coming off a tough period, but the situation has been resolved.
Throughout the summer transfer window, Ianis Hagi turned down offers from the Superliga, from Rapid and FCSB, as well as the opportunity to leave on loan to another club in Scotland again, after spending last season in Spain at Deportivo Alaves.
Hagi Jr. is valued at two million euros by Transfermarkt.
