Romanian midfielder Dennis Man, 25 years old, scored in the Fiorentina – Parma match, ending 1-1, in the first round of the Italian football championship, the 2024/2025 season.
The former Arad player opened the scoring in Florence with a superb execution, after Valentin Mihăilă had missed two great goal opportunities. Man catapulted the ball from 16 meters away into Terracciano’s goal corner, earning applause.
The Italian press rushed to praise the Romanian, giving him a rating of 7, the highest score in the Parma camp, on par with Woyo Coulibaly.
“He returned to Serie A and needed a quarter of an hour to achieve his first gem of the season: a shot with a curl to the far corner, where Terracciano couldn't do anything. Then he played well, ran a lot, and brought quality to the team. He consumed a lot of energy and was replaced by Almqvist in the 65th minute,” noted those at Parma Live. The same portal also wrote about Mihăilă's performance: “He cannot be caught when he accelerates. He constantly troubles the Viola defense. He always creates superiority, but sometimes lacks clarity. Too bad for a few finishing errors,” the Italians wrote about Valentin Mihăilă, to whom they gave a rating of 6.5.
The two Romanians were substituted in the 65th minute of the match. After their substitution, Parma did not perform as well, and Fiorentina managed to score the equalizing goal.
Dennis Man's market value is 10 million euros.
