Top Trump Tech Adviser Says U.S. Should Declare Victory and Exit Iran War

One of Donald Trump’s close advisers at the White House has called for the United States to „find a way out” of the conflict with Iran, marking the first public sign of dissatisfaction with the war from a key figure in the administration.

„This is a good time to declare victory and exit,” said David Sacks (photo top right), responsible in the Trump administration for artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, on the podcast All-In which he co-hosts. Such a decision „is clearly what the markets would like to see,” added the „AI czar” from the White House, as quoted by Financial Times.

Sacks' intervention, a well-known technology investor who has influenced administration policies in the field of artificial intelligence, comes after Trump recently said that the United States could continue the war with Iran "forever."

The president's statement has sparked negative reactions from key figures in his MAGA movement, who have supported him in part for his promise to end foreign wars.

Meanwhile, Trump told reporters that the war could end "soon," and last night he claimed that the US has "completely destroyed every MILITARY target" on Kharg Island, Iran's main hub for oil exports in the Persian Gulf.

In his podcast intervention, Sacks expressed concrete concerns about the consequences of further US attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure, including the risk of a nuclear conflict.

If more Iranian energy infrastructure were to be hit, "Iran could continue to target oil and gas infrastructure in the Gulf states... and that would be a much more serious outcome," added Sacks.

Further escalation "could make the Gulf almost uninhabitable," he said, mentioning Saudi Arabia in particular. "It would be a truly catastrophic scenario."

David Sacks, a long-time critic of foreign military interventions and opponent of further US involvement in the war in Ukraine, pointed to Israel as one of the biggest potential escalation points.

"If this war continues for weeks or months, Israel could simply be destroyed," he said. "Their air defense systems could be depleted... and then we have to fear that Israel could escalate the conflict by considering the use of a nuclear weapon."

Sacks' statements, who is close to Elon Musk and other technology billionaires, come in the context of an account associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards mentioning American technology companies, including Amazon and Oracle, as possible targets.

Sacks is also close to Vice President JD Vance, whom Trump said was "perhaps less enthusiastic" about the initial attacks on Iran.
