Anthony Delon has reacted for the first time on social media to the death of his father, Alain Delon, who passed away on Sunday at his home in Douchy.
„A child never forgets, because he continues to live in us until our last breath,” wrote Anthony Delon in a post on Instagram shared on Tuesday.
The post was accompanied by the message "RIP Papa" and three black-and-white photos of his father. One of these photos includes an intimate message. Anthony Delon wanted to share a portrait of his father, accompanied by a note: "For my dear son. Your father who loves you with all his being." The elder brother also included the hashtags "dad" and "love" in the post and mentioned the birth and death dates of his father.
Anthony Delon received condolences from several celebrities, including Laura Smet, the daughter of Johnny Hallyday, who wrote "Courage avec toi" (Courage be with you). "Our sincere condolences, dear Anthony," added singer Anggun, while Paul Belmondo, son of Jean-Paul Belmondo, wrote "Ave. Toi," referring to Alain Delon's line "Ave Moi" from the movie Asterix at the Olympic Games.
His stepbrother, Alain-Fabien Delon, visited him in Douchy this morning and shared on his Instagram stories photos of the gate of his father's house decorated with flowers and drawings. "From up there, I know he sees... Thank you... From the bottom of my heart," wrote Alain-Fabien.
Alain Delon will be buried in the middle of the week in Douchy (Loiret), where he lived for almost half a century, in the utmost privacy, according to the actor's wishes. The funeral will take place in the chapel chosen by the French star.
