The weather is changing abruptly just before the May 1st mini-holiday.
After initial estimates indicating temperatures above normal, meteorologists now announce an episode of unusual cold for the end of April and beginning of May, with rain especially in the southeast of the country.
End of April colder than usual
This week brings temperatures well below normal values in almost the entire country. Even though milder days will not be completely absent, the general sensation will be of accentuated cooling, especially in the morning and evening.
In the west, southwest, and southeast, there will be less rain than usual, while the rest of the regions will have precipitation close to the period's average.
May 1st with cold throughout the country and rain in the southeast
For the period of April 27th – May 4th, which includes the May 1st mini-holiday, the forecast becomes even clearer: temperatures below climatological norms throughout the country.
In other words, it's possible to bring out thicker clothing from the closet again.
At the same time, the southeast could experience more rain than usual, while the west and northwest remain rather dry.
After the mini-holiday, the weather begins to recover
The news is somewhat better after May 4th. Temperatures gradually return to normal values for this period, and the weather stabilizes in most parts of the country.
However, in the west and southwest, a precipitation deficit may continue.
Mid-May brings a return to normal
In the period of May 11th – 18th, meteorologists estimate a thermal regime close to normal in most regions.
There will be no major surprises with rain either, generally falling within the usual limits for this period.
