Romanian central defender Radu Drăgușin, currently playing in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur, has recently received a huge offer from the French club PSG.
Western press has reported on the interest of the French champions in the 22-year-old Romanian defender, whom they are willing to buy for the sum of 50 million euros.
However, in England, there are also radical reactions regarding a potential sale of Drăgușin. Bryan King, former head of the scouting department at Tottenham, has spoken about this possible interest from the French club. He believes that it would be a mistake for Spurs to let Drăgușin go, considering the defensive issues faced by the team coached by Ange Postecoglou. Nevertheless, King also mentions that Drăgușin might adapt more easily to the French league.
"Spurs cannot afford to let Drăgușin leave now. Both central defenders are injured, you have an 18-year-old player in the heart of defense, and you have Drăgușin, who is not good enough. There is still time in the winter transfer window.
However, at this moment, getting rid of a player brought in as a backup for the starting central defenders would be a bad move. I am shocked that PSG would want to pay 50 million euros for him. Nevertheless, I think he would find it easier to play in France than in the Premier League," said Bryan King, as reported by theboyhotspur.com.
Drăgușin has been a regular starter for Tottenham lately, but he has made numerous constant mistakes that have brought him massive criticism, both from the press and the London fans.
