Thomas Muller (35 years old) is leaving the German team Bayern Munich after 25 years.
In a message posted on Instagram, Thomas Muller announced his departure from Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
A World Cup winner with Germany in 2014, Muller stated that it is the club's decision not to extend his contract, which expires in the summer.
"It is clear that today is not just another day for me. The 25 years as a player of FC Bayern Munich will come to an end this summer. It has been an incredible journey, marked by unique experiences, extraordinary encounters, and unforgettable triumphs. I feel immense gratitude and joy that I have managed to have this career alongside my beloved club.
The special bond with the club and our fantastic fans will always remain. What I wish for our parting should be clear: titles to celebrate together and moments to fondly remember for a long time. We will give our all in the coming weeks to bring the championship title back to Munich. Let's do it together!", Thomas Muller's message reads.
Muller made his professional debut for Bayern on August 15, 2008, in a match against Hamburger SV, ending in a 2-2 draw.
He has won 12 Bundesliga titles, six German Cups, two Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cups, two FIFA Club World Cups, and eight German Super Cups.
