The captain of the Romanian national football team, Nicolae Stanciu, will play for the Italian team Genoa starting this summer, whose main shareholder is the Romanian Dan Șucu.
„Currently, I am a player for Damac. We have reached a preliminary agreement with Genoa, which we aim to formalize at the end of the season. I hope to be able to contribute to Genoa’s project next season and continue to make all those who support me proud,” transmitted Nicolae Stanciu, the captain of the Romanian national football team, on his Instagram account.
Furthermore, the club's sporting director, Marco Ottolini, stated to the portal Tutto Mercato Web the existence of an agreement with Nicolae Stanciu, a midfielder currently playing for the Saudi team Damac.
"We have a preliminary agreement with Nicolae Stanciu and we are optimistic that we will be able to finalize everything in the coming weeks. He is a player with great international experience, the captain of the Romanian national team, and will be an important part of our project starting next season," Ottolini declared.
Born in 1993, Stanciu is expected to sign a contract, valid from next season, which would tie him to Genoa for two years, as mentioned by the source.
