Dennis Man, the winger for AC Parma in Serie A, could secure a sensational transfer this winter transfer window.
In recent days, the Italian press has been writing about Man potentially leaving Parma soon, the team where he was transferred to in 2021. Furthermore, there have been discussions about a team that has a definite interest in the former midfielder from FCSB.
This team is AC Fiorentina, recently a double finalist in the Conference League. The Viola club is looking for a winger, with the main target initially being Brazilian player Luiz Henrique. However, in the end, the player decided to move to Russia, to Zenit St. Petersburg. Fiorentina could not afford the transfer fee of 35 million euros, so now they have turned their attention to the possibility of signing Man, as reported by the publication Quotidiano:
"Last night, it became clear that the transfer of Luiz Henrique will remain just a dream. The Botafogo winger is on the verge of signing with Zenit St. Petersburg for 35 million euros, an offer unmatched for Fiorentina, which tried but stopped at a sum of 20 million euros plus bonuses.
At this point, the Viola club will focus in the next few hours on Dennis Man. The Parma forward, who is currently training separately due to back pain, is eager to arrive in Florence. Parma values him at 15 million euros, but Fiorentina would like to pay 12 million euros plus bonuses. An agreement should be reached quickly, not only regarding the transfer but also the salary of the Romanian player," wrote the Italians at Quotidiano.net.
Man is currently valued at 17 million euros. And at the press conference before Parma's match against Venezia, coach Fabio Pecchia also spoke about the possibility of the Arad native leaving the team: "It applies to everyone. I have heard many statements about other teams. In January, there is a lot of agitation in the locker room. I appeal to the seriousness and professionalism of each player. It is essential to know how to manage such moments. Dedication from each individual is crucial. He has continued to train partially, and it needs to be managed well," said Fabio Pecchia at the press conference.
