CFR Cluj has announced that they are negotiating the departure of an important player from the squad.
Through the voice of Nelu Varga, the owner from Gruia, CFR Cluj announced that „there are four offers” for one of the important players in the squad.
It concerns Daniel Bîrligea (24 years old), the forward who was at EURO 2024 with the Romanian national team, and about whom SpotMedia found out is wanted in Italy, Germany, and Turkey. However, Varga specified that he does not intend to let Bîrligea leave until access to the Conference League group stage is secured.
"There are four offers for Daniel Bîrligea, but I do not want to pursue them until we qualify for the Conference League group stage. It will be a large sum, with many millions," said Varga, according to ProSport.
The forward arrived at CFR Cluj on a free transfer, coming from Serie C, from Teramo.
He had an excellent season, scoring 15 goals in all competitions, and then made it into the Romania squad for EURO 2024.
He is valued at €1.6 million by Transfermarkt.
