Billionaire Elon Musk and Prince Andrew are mentioned in new files made public by Democrats in the US Congress regarding the financier pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Files submitted to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee by Jeffrey Epstein’s heirs seem to indicate that Elon Musk was invited to Epstein’s island in December 2014, as reported by the BBC.
Separately, a passenger list from a flight from New Jersey to Florida in May 2000 includes Prince Andrew among them.
Prince Andrew vehemently denied any illegal acts, and Musk previously stated that Epstein invited him to the island, but he declined.
The partial data comes from a third batch of documents provided by the Jeffrey Epstein Estate. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee say these include phone message records, copies of flight logs, copies of financial records, and Epstein's daily schedule.
In addition to Musk and Prince Andrew, the publicly released files also contain the names of other prominent figures, including entrepreneur Peter Thiel and Steve Bannon, former advisor to Donald Trump, who became a central figure in the radical MAGA movement.
An entry from December 6, 2014, reads: "Don't forget: Elon Musk on the island on December 6 (still valid?)."
A flight log shows that Prince Andrew flew with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, on December 5, 2000.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for conspiring with Epstein in the trafficking of girls for sexual purposes.
In the files, there is also a mention of a planned lunch with Peter Thiel in November 2017. There is also a mention of a planned breakfast with Steve Bannon for February 17, 2019.
It is not suggested that the individuals mentioned in the files were aware of the alleged criminal activity for which Epstein was later arrested, BBC clarifies.
Epstein died by suicide in his New York prison cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking.
In 2008, Epstein reached an agreement with prosecutors after the parents of a 14-year-old girl told Florida police that Epstein had molested their daughter in his Palm Beach home.
He was arrested again in July 2019 on charges of sex trafficking.
Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for the Democrats on the Oversight Committee, urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to release more files related to Epstein. "It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthy people in the world. Each new document produced provides new information in our efforts to bring justice to survivors and victims," she said.
