The US press on Simona Halep's reaction to Jannik Sinner's doping case: "She tore him apart"

The press in the United States wrote about the reaction of Simona Halep (32 years old) regarding the doping case involving Jannik Sinner (1 ATP).

Simona Halep talked about how the ITIA judged differently the doping cases in which Jannik Sinner and our athlete were involved, with Sinner receiving a favorable decision much faster than in Simona’s case.

Americans did not remain indifferent to the words spoken by Simona Halep and wrote about the reaction of the former world leader in the WTA rankings. "Simona 'rips' Jannik Sinner and talks about unequal treatment," headlines Tennis World USA.

"Some of the harshest criticisms in Sinner's case, against those who judged him, came from Simona Halep. (…) While acknowledging that doping cases are not exactly the same, Simona spoke harshly against the agency (note - ITIA) and talked about differential treatment. While Sinner was cleared and had his points and money taken away from Indian Wells, Simona received a harsh suspension and was sidelined for a long period," writes the site tennisworldusa.org.

Jannik Sinner was cleared of any guilt or intent after failing two anti-doping tests in March for the prohibited substance clostebol.
