Our athlete sued the canadians from Quantum Nutrition, who produced the supplement she claims was contaminated, leading to her positive test for Roxadustat.
In this lawsuit, Simona has decided to request "a jury trial in all respects" at the Manhattan court, according to ProSport.
Jurors are chosen from ordinary people, without legal studies. The jury can be smaller, between 6 and 12 people, or larger, between 16 and 23 people. Each juror will receive a $50 per diem.
Simona claims that the batch of supplements was contaminated, resulting in her suspension without any fault on her part.
The supplement in question is Keto MCT, which contains Roxadustat, a prohibited substance not listed on the label.
