Romania and Northern Ireland, draw at the National Arena in a friendly match

Romania and Northern Ireland ended in a draw, 1-1, at the National Arena, the national team’s first preparation match before EURO 2024.

Both goals were scored in the first half-hour of the match, when Dennis Man equalized (min. 23) after Reid (7) opened the scoring at the end of a counterattack. Vasile Mogoș and Nicolae Stanciu missed important opportunities for the Romanian team before Edi Iordănescu and Michel O’Neill made several changes, leading to a drastic drop in pace.

There were no more chances, the game was not at all spectacular, brilliant, and the match ended 1-1. Edi Iordănescu's players will have a friendly match with Colombia in Madrid at the Atletico Madrid stadium on March 26.
