The Municipal Company Termoenergetica Bucharest announces new modernization and repair works on the district heating network of the Capital, which will affect the supply of hot water in over 1,500 blocks from several sectors of the city.
According to the company, the interventions target both trunk pipelines and sections included in the rehabilitation projects of the heating system financed through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program (POIM). The duration of the works varies depending on the complexity of each construction site.
The largest intervention affects over 1,100 blocks in the south of the Capital
The most extensive works will take place on the trunk pipeline with a diameter of 1,100 mm in the area delimited by Luică Street, Turnu Măgurele Boulevard, Constantin Brâncoveanu Boulevard, Berceni Highway, Olteniței Highway, Șerban Vodă Avenue, Giurgiului Highway, Nițu Vasile Street, Emil Racoviță Street, and Alexandru Obregia Boulevard.
The interventions are part of the Bucharest heating system rehabilitation project and will require the shutdown of hot water supply to 72 thermal points and two thermal modules serving approximately 1,100 blocks.
The works are scheduled between June 22 – July 3.
Nearly 400 other blocks affected in the north of the city
A second series of works will take place in the area between Iancu de Hunedoara Boulevard, Dorobanți Avenue, Floreasca Avenue, Nae Caranfil Street, Pipera Street, Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard, Lacul Tei Boulevard, Mașina de Pâine Street, and Ion Berindei Street.

The estimated period for the interventions is June 22–28.
Stoppages also in the North Railway Station area
