Most incidents from election day are related to accusations of multiple voting or pre-stamped ballot papers offered to voters. However, some unusual events have also occurred.

On election day, several unusual incidents were reported: a police officer was bitten on the hand by a woman, a polling station president showed up drunk for duty, and the PNL complained that liberal propaganda was being spread on voting day!

  • A police officer at a polling station in Dolj County used tear gas after a man became aggressive. Following the conflict, the man's partner bit the officer's hand. The police informed the Prosecutor's Office for further investigation of the assault, with both individuals being in police custody. At the same time, the Dolj County Police Department announced that the police officer in the protection service was replaced.
  • The president of a polling station in the village of Satu Nou, Muntenii de Sus commune in Vaslui, was removed from his position after showing up heavily intoxicated at the station. He had a blood alcohol concentration of 1.02 mg/l of pure alcohol in exhaled air. Vaslui County Police Department spokesperson, Oana Şopu, confirmed that investigations are underway to determine if the man drove to the station.
  • Representatives of PNL Arad filed a complaint with the Police after stickers with the party logo and a call to vote for PNL were plastered on dozens of cars in the city, specifically on the rearview mirrors. These materials feature the photos of MEP Gheorghe Falcă and Mayor Călin Bibarţ, both candidates for new mandates. The party denies any involvement and claims that political opponents resorted to this gesture to irritate the electorate.
  • A candidate for the Mayor of Băneasa in Constanța County is accused of assaulting a voter after offering him 1,000 lei and being rejected.
  • A man who voted at a polling station in Vâlcea County was fined 600 lei for taking a photo of his ballot paper. Another man who did the same in Calafat was fined 1,000 lei.
  • A 43-year-old man was hospitalized after being beaten at a polling station in Slatina, as announced by representatives of the Olt County Emergency Hospital. The man is hemodynamically stable and is undergoing specialized investigations and treatment.
  • A man was punched in the chest by a woman at a polling station in Petroşani after a heated argument. The altercation began when the 33-year-old man attempted to film the 50-year-old woman, who then threatened him with violence, as stated by the Hunedoara County Police Department.
  • A 33-year-old man who was reported via 112 for distributing money to voters was apprehended by police in the village of Ştefăneştii din Jos in Ilfov County, with sums of money and lists of names found in his car. An investigation was opened.
  • Also in Ştefăneştii de Jos, the president of a polling station did not show up, and his duties were taken over by the deputy.
  • The president of a polling station in Tecuci, Galați County, noticed upon exiting the voting booths that a man had seven ballots, while his wife had only three, even though both had entered the booths with five each. The woman secretly gave her husband two ballots to vote on her behalf, claiming she couldn't read.
  • A 72-year-old woman, a member of the commission at a polling station in Sector 6, is being investigated for theft after police found a voting stamp on her. Another case was identified by police after visiting another station in Sector 6, where an 82-year-old man was also found with a missing stamp.
  • A 28-year-old woman from Galați was taken to a Psychiatric Hospital by a medical team after attempting to enter a polling station in the city carrying a doll with whom she was talking. "The person in question requested to enter the polling station, at which point the police officer on public order duty tried to communicate with her, asking for her ID for identification purposes. The woman refused to communicate with the police officer and left the polling station. Outside the station, she started talking on the phone and later with the doll, a behavior noticed by the police officer, who requested the presence of an emergency medical team," stated the Galați County Police Department.
