A man became a star following his reaction to the gunfire during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
„The salad man.” This is the nickname given to Michael Glantz, a talent agent at one of Hollywood’s largest agencies, after he was filmed continuing to eat despite the panic caused by the gunfire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, as reported by Le Figaro.
Sitting not far from the stage, the man refused to hit the ground despite the gunfire and chose to continue his meal, according to the newspaper cited by News.ro.
CNN’s star anchor, Wolf Blitzer, also known as a „hygiene maniac,” stated: „At no point would I put my clothes on that dirty floor, it was not possible,” he confessed.
On Saturday night, a 31-year-old shooter attempted to assassinate Donald Trump or other administration officials during the traditional White House Correspondents' Dinner held at the Hilton hotel in Washington D.C.
According to the investigation, the suspect traveled from California to Chicago and then to Washington.
He checked into the hotel just a few days before the correspondents' dinner, one of the most lavish annual events in the U.S. capital. The investigation now focuses on how he managed to get so close to the ballroom and how he obtained the weapon.
Investigators are also analyzing the message sent by the suspect before the attack, in which he explained his intentions. In the text, he harshly criticized the political leadership and made references to the "crimes" of a leader he held responsible, using serious accusations without explicitly mentioning Trump.
