A 39-year-old man was caught red-handed on Saturday while raping a 14-year-old boy in Bucharest.
Sources cited by Antena3 claim that the individual in question is Kristoff Lajos, also known as the „genius coach.”
The child was allegedly lured by Lajos with money, clothes, and an iPhone.
"Police officers from the 26th Police Station, in the performance of their duties, caught a 39-year-old man red-handed while engaging in sexual relations with a 14-year-old minor at a location in Sector 4.
Following investigations and verifications, it emerged that the suspect allegedly lured the 14-year-old minor with the aim of engaging in intimate relations by offering money or promising other benefits, announced the Police.
Currently, the child is in the custody of the mother.
"The investigations are being continued by police officers from the 26th Police Station, regarding the commission of the crime of rape, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sector 4 Court," the statement further reads.
Investigators suspect that the individual is not engaging in sexual acts with a minor for the first time, and other victims may emerge throughout the investigation.
Who is Kristoff Lajos
Kristof Lajos is an orphan who grew up in Child Protection centers, abandoned by his mother at the age of 3.
Originally from Reghin, Mureș, he has won numerous international awards for innovation in education, including the Excellence in Education and Mentoring Award at the IG Award Ceremony.
He is the founding director of the Amias Small School, an educational expert at the Youth Center of Bucharest, founding president of the Youth Association for Friendship and Education, founder of the Mentor in Romania national program, and general producer of theater and performance shows at the State Jewish Theater, National Opera Bucharest, and Reduta Center.
