Romanian Ministry of National Defense is organizing, between May 20 and June 27, a new recruitment and selection campaign for citizens who wish to perform military service in reserve, as voluntary reservists in the Romanian Army.
There are 4,936 positions available for voluntary reservists (officers, military masters, non-commissioned officers, privates, and soldiers) in military units across the entire national territory.
"Interested citizens can obtain information at military centers about the stages of the recruitment and selection process, the designated structures to conduct the selection, the military health unit where they will undergo medical examination, as well as the military unit or training center where they will undergo the initial training program, if they are subject to this training, according to the law, as well as about the advantages of performing military service as a voluntary reservist," specifies the Ministry of National Defense.
Candidates without military training will be advised regarding expressing their preferences, directing them towards positions for which they meet the specific criteria related to education level and the correspondence of specializations acquired in civilian life with military weapons/services and specialties.

Upon presentation at the military center, citizens wishing to perform military service as voluntary reservists will complete an enrollment application and present the following documents:
- identity card, original and copy;
- criminal record certificate, issued no more than six months before the submission date;
- educational documents and/or other documents attesting to competencies acquired in civilian life, original and copy;
- valid driver's license, original and copy, if applicable, for candidates without military training, if the duties of the position they are applying for involve operating specific equipment;
- military service record book, original and copy, if applicable, only for those who have reservist status.
The remuneration granted during periods when voluntary reservists do not participate in training or missions has increased from 10% to 30% of the functional salary, to which the rank salary is added.
