The French press warns Simona Halep: "She has no time to waste"

The French press writes about Simona Halep (33 years old) and her return to tennis in Cluj-Napoca, at the Transylvania Open, at the beginning of February.

The French mention that Simona’s season started poorly, with withdrawals from Auckland and the Australian Open due to medical issues, and that our athlete „has no time to waste” if she wants to win more major tournaments, considering her age.

Simona played five matches in 2024 after being cleared of doping charges and won only one, against Arina Rodionova in Hong Kong in October.

"At 33, Simona Halep has no time to waste if she wants to win major tournaments again. Unfortunately, her season started poorly with withdrawals from Auckland and the Australian Open, where she received wildcards, due to medical issues. (...) In less than a week, in her home country at the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj, Simona should be able to start her season. Time is running out for her," writes the website tennisactu.net.

Simona Halep will play her first official match of 2025 at the Transylvania Open on February 4, as announced by the organizers.
