TAS has made a new announcement regarding the doping case involving Simona Halep.
The Lausanne Tribunal has not published the reasoning, even though 8 months have passed since Simona’s penalty was significantly reduced.
TAS has conveyed that the delay is caused by the fact that they want to keep certain information confidential.
"The arbitral decision has been notified to the parties and is currently undergoing a confidentiality review. Depending on the outcome of this exercise, the arbitral decision will be published on the TAS website. An exact date for its availability cannot be indicated," TAS transmitted to Gsp.ro.
Simona tested positive on August 29, 2022, and after being suspended for 4 years, her penalty was reduced, allowing our athlete to return starting from March 19, 2024.
