The question mark raised by the Scottish press regarding Ianis Hagi

The Scottish press has analyzed the situation of Ianis Hagi (25 years old) ahead of the new season and raised a question mark.

After playing for Romania at EURO 2024, Ianis Hagi is preparing to return to Rangers in Scotland, a club with which he still has a contract for two seasons, after being loaned to Deportivo Alaves in Spain last season.

The Scots wonder and await to see what decision Philippe Clement, the Rangers' coach, will make regarding Ianis Hagi and praise the way the Romanian international has recovered after the knee injury that kept him out of the field for over a year.

"The last two years of Ianis Hagi's career have certainly not gone as planned. (...) The way he managed to bounce back, to return strong and in shape, speaks volumes about how mentally strong he is, about his character and desire to wear the Rangers jersey again. (...)

Philippe Clement considered bringing Ianis Hagi back in January 2024, but it was not the case in the end. Hagi will return to Rangers in a few weeks, after playing on the biggest stage (note - at EURO 2024). It will be interesting to see what Clement decides is the next, correct step that Hagi should take: to be part of the Rangers team, a new loan in another league, or to be sold," writes the glasgowworld.com website.
