Simona Halep gave an interview expressing her concerns about the future of women’s tennis.
Retired from the sport, Simona stated that she is unsure if Romania will soon have a player performing at a high level.
She noted that there are no players coming up, but she believes they just need confidence and hard work.
"I don't enjoy talking about this subject myself because I don't know what to say. Indeed, maybe there aren't that many athletes reaching a high level, but I trust that if athletes work hard and believe in themselves, they will achieve beautiful results," said Simona, according to Sport.ro.
