Simona Halep has doubts about when she will return to the tennis court
Halep stated that she is uncertain about returning to the court, considering that she still cannot train at 100% due to her injury. Additionally, Simona revealed that she also has doubts about her ability to return to the top spots in the WTA rankings with a very high level of tennis.
"I think about it every day. I analyze, I analyze myself and what I can do, how good I can become again. I have doubts at the moment, I am honest! I cannot train at 100% due to the injury. If I return to the court, I want to be in the top 10, because that's how I think and that's how I have always thought about tennis.
Maybe that's why I became the world number 1, because I always pushed my limits. But the question is, am I still capable of doing it again? Do I still have this inner strength? I don't know the answers," stated Simona Halep in an interview with We Are Tennis.
Simona played her first match after her return in March, at Miami, where she was eliminated in the first round by Paula Badosa. She then withdrew from the Trophee Clarins, in the match against McCartney Kessler in May, due to medical issues.
