CFR Cluj announced that they have received an official offer for the transfer of Nigerian forward Philip Otele.
Owner Ioan Varga revealed that the Transylvanian team has a proposal on the table from Brighton, in England.
Varga did not disclose the amount, but mentioned that CFR Cluj has asked for 7 million euros in exchange for Otele.
"At the moment, we don't have any other offer for Otele besides the one from Brighton, in England. They are considering what I proposed: 6 million pounds and 20% from a future transfer. Their head of scouting (ed. note - Mike Cave) said we will stay in touch, that he will talk to the management. I told Gigi Becali 6 million, but in euros, because he is here, in Romania. We asked Brighton for 6 million, but in pounds. That means around 7 million in euros," Varga said to I Am Sport.
Philip Otele has scored 13 goals and provided 7 assists in the matches played this season.
The Nigerian was brought on a free transfer from UTA Arad.
