The Scots will decide Ianis Hagi's fate immediately after the Romanian player returns to the team, at the start of preparations for the new season.
"Until EURO started and I saw him representing his country, I had forgotten that Ianis Hagi is still a Rangers player. Philippe Clement has surely watched every minute, and the coach probably saw enough to believe that Hagi can be an important player. I remember finding it strange how eager Michael Beale was to get rid of Hagi. (...) Probably Hagi will get more time off, but he seemed like a young man who wants to get back to work as soon as possible and impress the new coach. I never had any doubts about his talent, and in the last few weeks, he has shown that he is ready to impress again. Hagi is no longer a child; he is an experienced international player, and I have no doubt that he has something to offer," said Barry Ferguson, the former Rangers player, to Daily Record, quoted by the website glasgowtimes.co.uk.
Ianis Hagi was loaned out last season by Rangers to Deportivo Alaves in Spain.
