Tudor Chirilă’s viral reply to Bolojan: “Rareș Bogdan is a charlatan, that’s all”

Artist and activist Tudor Chirilă reacted to the message published by the ousted Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan about PNL’s exit from government, stating that the change invoked by the liberal leader is still „fragile.”

Bolojan had written that PNL’s move to the Opposition „restored dignity” to the party and that during the alliance with PSD, many important decisions „were made in other offices.”

However, the artist says that the problems in the party also stem from the current liberal leadership and lists several PNL leaders whom he considers incompatible with the idea of reform.

Chirilă: "How can credibility exist?"

"Mr. Ilie Bolojan, what you have now is fragile. I knew that from the moment I saw the vice-presidents of your party," wrote Tudor Chirilă.

He names Interior Minister Cătălin Predoiu and MEP Rareș Bogdan, whom he claims are "influential agents" and "a charlatan," respectively.

"Influential agents like Predoiu who contributed to the demolition of justice in Romania or Rareș Bogdan, a charlatan and nothing more, Pauliuc or Thuma, and the list can even extend closer to you, what is the contribution that these eternal schemers and brakes, in contradiction with your discourse, can bring to a party that aims for reform?" the artist asks.

Tudor Chirilă questions the credibility of the reform message conveyed by the liberal leader.

"How can credibility exist? Perhaps the real tough decisions should only follow from now on," he added.

Chirilă's comment went viral. Thousands of Facebook users reacted positively to the artist's statements.

Bolojan: "We have separated waters"

The reaction comes after Ilie Bolojan published a message addressed to the liberals on Thursday, in which he argued that PNL's decision to leave government was necessary for the party.

"We have separated waters," wrote the liberal leader, stating that the alliance with PSD affected the party's identity and that many of the important decisions "were made in other offices."

This week, PNL decided to leave government and move to the Opposition after breaking the coalition with PSD. Bolojan is the interim Prime Minister until a new government is installed.
