Horatiu Moldovan, the starting goalkeeper of the Romanian national team in the EURO 2024 qualifiers, has received an interesting piece of news regarding his future.
The former Rapid player has already decided to leave Atletico de Madrid, where he was acquired last winter from Giulesti, but at Wanda Metropolitano, he did not even get a chance to become a starter, always staying in the shadow of the great Jan Oblak.
Being in the spotlight of several clubs this summer, including Rayo Vallecano or Celtic, Moldovan has a last-minute option: Pisa, a team from Italy, where Marius Marin also plays.
Pisa will aim for promotion next season in Serie B: "Nicolas Andrade, who suffered an injury, has recovered before the team's reunion. Pisa is evaluating the Brazilian goalkeeper whose contract expires on June 30, 2025, to see if he will be a starter in the new season or if they need to transfer another goalkeeper.
We will see what Filippo Inzaghi's decision will be. The names of Adrian Semper from Como, Boris Radunovic, the player from Cagliari, and Horatiu Moldovan, the reserve goalkeeper at Atletico Madrid, who was also in Romania's squad at EURO 2024, have been linked with Pisa," writes Il Tirreno.
Moldovan has a market value of 2.5 million euros, but at EURO 2024, he was Florin Nita's backup.
