Mircea Lucescu has made the final decision regarding his presence in the play-off, following the failure against Bosnia

The Romanian national team lost Saturday night’s match in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a score of 1-3, missing the chance to secure the 2nd place in Group H for the World Cup qualification.

The team will finish in 3rd place in the group, but will qualify for the play-offs thanks to their very good performance last year in the Nations League.

Despite the defeat in Bosnia, Mircea Lucescu is not considering leaving the national team. And according to the newspaper Fanatik, Mircea Lucescu will be on the national team's bench for the play-off in March.

Romania will be in pot 4 for the draw of the play-off semi-final and will face one of the top four opponents, namely Italy, Turkey, Ukraine, or Poland.

"It's impossible to play in these conditions. Even in the duels we won, they still won through the refereeing. A bit of fear has been instilled, and we played with long balls, which favored them. Pushed by the crowd [...] It's a shame when I see the state of the stadium we play in. The players had nowhere to warm up," said Mircea Lucescu after the match.

In addition, Mircea Lucescu was disappointed with the way referee Michael Oliver officiated the match, as well as the condition of the "Bilino Polje" stadium.
