Inter decided Cristi Chivu's future after being eliminated from the Champions League

Inter has determined the future of Cristi Chivu (45 years old), the team’s coach, following their elimination from the Champions League.

The „Nerazzurri” surprisingly exited the Champions League in the round of 16, being knocked out by Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt (2-5 on aggregate).

However, the Champions League elimination does not alter Inter's plans regarding Chivu's future. According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the Romanian coach is set to extend his contract with the "Giuseppe Meazza" team.

It will be a contract until 2028, with an option for extension until 2029, a deal that will see Chivu receive a salary increase, as reported by the source.

Despite the premature exit from the Champions League, Inter is leading in Serie A, 10 points ahead of the closest rival, and has secured a spot in the Italian Cup semifinals.
