Cristian Chivu (43 years old) is on the list of a club with four Champions League titles in its record.
Currently at Inter Primavera, Cristian Chivu could soon take a step towards a senior team, and not just any team, but an important one.
According to the Italian journalist Gialuca Di Marzio, Ajax Amsterdam is "very interested" in bringing Chivu to the coaching staff. The leaders of the Dutch team see Chivu as the "coach for the future", considering the work the Romanian is doing at the youth level.
However, it seems that the former captain of the Romanian national team is wanted at Ajax as an assistant to Graham Potter. The "Lancers" would like to offer him a five-year contract, to have him "at home" and to install him as the head coach of the team in 2-3 years.
Chivu is flattered by Ajax's interest in him, as the cited source also mentions.
He played for Ajax Amsterdam between 1999 and 2003, during which he played 142 matches, scored 13 goals, provided seven assists, and won three trophies (the league title, the Cup, and the Dutch Super Cup). At Ajax, Chivu also served as the team captain.
