Approaching the end of his contract with Rangers, Ianis Hagi makes a "truly honest" announcement

Ianis Hagi (26 years old) is finishing his contract with Rangers this summer and, at least for the moment, his future is uncertain.

The Romanian international gave a „truly honest” response when asked about his future, ahead of the Rangers – Fenerbahce doubleheader in the Europa League.

Hagi Jr. stated that he is not thinking about the next step in his career at the moment, but is focused on what he needs to do at Rangers, and his future should be discussed by "the club and agents."

"With all due respect to everyone, my club and agents need to discuss my future.

Now, and this is truly an honest answer, I am not really thinking about the future. I am only thinking about what I can do today and tomorrow to prepare for the game and from that moment on what I can do to prepare for the next match and the one after that. I take it step by step. You know my agents, so they will probably talk about my situation," stated Ianis Hagi, as quoted by the Scottish press.

The British have announced for several weeks that Ianis Hagi has turned down an initial offer made by Rangers to extend his contract.
