The Government has approved, on Thursday, the granting of financial incentives to graduates who have obtained a perfect score of 10 in the National Evaluation and Baccalaureate exams in 2026.
Thus, 8th-grade graduates with a perfect score of 10 in the National Evaluation will receive 2,000 lei each, while high school graduates who have achieved the maximum score in the Baccalaureate exam will receive 5,000 lei each, according to News.ro.
This year, only 7 8th-grade graduates have finished the National Evaluation with a perfect score of 10, while there were 92 perfect scores of 10 in the Baccalaureate exam.
In total, the Government will allocate 474,000 lei to reward the 99 graduates: 14,000 lei for students who have obtained a perfect score in the National Evaluation and 460,000 lei for those with a perfect score in the Baccalaureate. This means that each graduate with a perfect score in the National Evaluation will receive 2,000 lei, and each graduate with a perfect score in the Baccalaureate will be rewarded with 5,000 lei.
The funds will be provided from the budget of the Ministry of Education and Research for 2026, and the Executive specifies that the measure does not imply any additional financial impact on the general consolidated budget.
The list of beneficiaries and the specific method by which the incentives will be granted are to be established by order of the Minister of Education and Research.
The Government justifies the granting of the awards by the desire to recognize excellent results and to encourage graduates with very good results to continue their educational journey and to make the most of their academic potential.
