The United States confirms: AUR Vice President Marius Lulea signed a $1.5 million lobbying contract

The United States Department of Justice has released a document officially confirming the involvement of the AUR party in a lobbying contract with the BGR Government Affairs firm from Washington.

The document contains, for the first time, the signature of AUR’s executive vice president, Marius Lulea, validating the agreement signed on March 31.

The information, published by G4Media, comes almost a month after the contract was first revealed. Initially, only the signature of the American representative Daniel Delnero was present.

At the time of the initial appearance of the contract in the press, AUR strongly denied the existence of any agreement with the American firm, accusing misinformation. The party claimed that it had not signed any contract and had not transferred any funds to entities in the USA.

Furthermore, AUR filed a criminal complaint with DIICOT against G4Media, accusing the website of "communicating false information."

BGD: The contract did not yield results

When asked about the payments or services provided under the agreement, Daniel Delnero, the BGD representative, stated that "there were no payments between us and AUR or affiliated persons."

He also emphasized that the company did not facilitate media appearances for AUR, as the contract "has not yet come into force."

On April 26, AUR expanded its attacks on the mass media, filing a criminal complaint against Antena3 and România TV, invoking Article 404 of the Penal Code regarding the communication of false information. However, according to Article 268 of the Penal Code, knowingly submitting authorities with false information can itself constitute a crime of "misleading the judicial authorities."

Simion, promoted in radical American media

Meanwhile, AUR leader George Simion has made several appearances in radical American media, including with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, MAGA ideologue Steve Bannon, influencers like Jack Posobiek, and journalist Tucker Carlson.

In a recent public statement, Simion thanked the American administration for excluding Romania from the Visa Waiver program - a decision formalized on May 2, just two days before the first round of presidential elections.
