Nicușor Dan Tops Trust Rankings in Bucharest: Where Ciucu, Drulă, and Băluță Stand

The latest INSCOP barometer conducted at the level of the Capital shows that some high-profile personalities fail to convert this visibility into public appreciation.

On the other hand, others, less present in the media space, significantly recover in terms of trust.

Trust ranking: Nicușor Dan leads comfortably

Nicușor Dan is in the first place in terms of trust level: 44.2% of Bucharest residents declare that they have "quite a lot" and "a lot" of trust in him (44.4% among those who know him).

He is followed by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, with 36.6% trust reported in the total sample (38.3% among those who have heard of him), and by Daniel Băluță, who reaches 33.8% trust (37.6% among those familiar with his activity).

Ciprian Ciucu gains 32.1% trust overall, with his percentage rising to 43.1% among those who know him - one of the most significant differences between trust and notoriety, according to the INSCOP Barometer.

Călin Georgescu records 25.9% trust (26.4% among those who have heard of him), followed by Cătălin Drulă with 19% (24.3%). Dominic Fritz achieves 17.2% (24.7%), Anca Alexandrescu 17.1% (21.2%), and Sorin Grindeanu 14.6% (16.8% among those who have heard of him).

Notoriety: who are the most well-known politicians

Nicușor Dan is also the personality with the highest notoriety - 99.4% of respondents state that they have heard of him.

He is followed by George Simion (98.6%), Călin Georgescu (98.2%), and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan (95.6%). Daniel Băluță is known by 90% of Bucharest residents, Sorin Grindeanu by 87.1%, Anca Alexandrescu by 80.5%, Cătălin Drulă by 78.1%, Ciprian Ciucu by 74.4%, and Dominic Fritz by 69.5%.

INSCOP Research Director, Remus Ștefureac, explains how these differences should be interpreted. He emphasizes that "the data reflect the level of trust of Bucharest residents in each political personality, but also the level of trust of those who have heard of each personality, considering that notoriety varies from person to person."

Ștefureac points out that less known personalities naturally start with a lower level of trust compared to the total population, as their reference base is limited.

The INSCOP Director also clarifies an essential aspect for the pre-electoral period: "It is important to specify that these data do not faithfully reflect the intention to vote. If the question regarding the intention to vote has exclusive options, meaning respondents can choose only one candidate, questions about trust are distinct, with the same respondent being able to trust several personalities, either from the same political spectrum, or, more rarely, from different areas."

As for the intention to vote in the parliamentary elections, in Bucharest, AUR ranks first with 27%, followed by PSD with 22%, USR - 20%, PNL - 14%, SENS - 6%, POT and REPER - 2%, according to a survey conducted by Flashdata on November 18-19, 2025.
