Gabriela Firea, a senator from the Social Democratic Party (PSD), announced on Wednesday that the Permanent Bureau of PSD Bucharest has unanimously decided to support her candidacy for the position of mayor of the Capital.
„I thank my colleagues from the Permanent Bureau of PSD Bucharest who have decided, by unanimous vote, to support my candidacy for the Mayor of the Capital. I am determined to work again for the development of the city, for the people who have been abandoned for almost four years, for all the projects that have been shelved just because they were carried out by the social-democratic team,” wrote Gabriela Firea, the president of PSD Bucharest, on wednesday, on Facebook.
According to her, the current mayors have been unanimously validated in the sector municipalities: Sector 3 - Robert Negoiţă, Sector 4 - Daniel Băluţă, and in Sector 5, the support was voted for Cristian Popescu Piedone.
"We have decided to conduct surveys and other research for:
- Sector 1 - Florin Lixandru, State Secretary in the Ministry of Education
- Sector 2 - Rodica Nassar, Member of Parliament and president of the PSD Sector 2 organization, Prefect Rareş Hopincă, and Member of Parliament Dan Cristian Popescu
- Sector 6 - Senator Gabriel Mutu," Firea further conveyed.
She claims that PSD has only one objective in Bucharest.
"In Bucharest, we have only one objective: to save the Capital from false saviors. Bucharesters no longer need experiments, all kinds of unsuccessful attempts! This city must continue with people who have proven to be good stewards, with administration specialists who have come up with beneficial projects for the people who live and work in the Capital," Firea added.
