The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, congratulated Luca Niculescu on his appointment as prime minister.
„We have important work ahead of us. That of creating opportunities for people and companies. And strengthening security on our eastern flank. We have no time to lose. Let’s move forward together, for Romania and for Europe,” von der Leyen wrote on X.
The Cabinet Luca Niculescu passed the Parliament vote with 280 votes in favor and only 58 against.
Thus, after almost six months under an interim Executive, Romania once again has a full-fledged government.
Subsequently, The Luca Niculescu Government took the oath at Cotroceni Palace, in front of President Nicușor Dan, after the decree was published in the Official Gazette.
