Ciucu signed a political agreement with REPER, which "chose to support the candidate who can deliver results"

PNL candidate for the Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, signed a collaboration protocol with the REPER Party on Monday.

He announced that he desires a long-term relationship with this party, not just a campaign partnership. „We will sign a collaboration protocol between me and the REPER party, which performed well in last year’s local elections, and I aim for a collaboration on a longer term, not just during the electoral campaign, but throughout the entire term as general mayor,” stated Ciucu.

He specified that the discussion with the REPER leadership was "very good, lengthy, about principles, values, and how we see the governance of Bucharest." Furthermore, Ciucu emphasized that he relies on the expertise of the party. "They cover areas very well, have competencies in fields that complement mine and my team's," stated the PNL candidate during a press conference.

Also present at the event was Dragoş Pîslaru, the Minister of European Funds and co-president of REPER, who justified his support through a personal and professional relationship of two decades.

"Ciprian Ciucu is an expert in public policies, which is not so easy to take into account. He is a person who reforms, builds, and innovates systems and institutions," stated Pîslaru. He recalled that "Sector 6 changed radically under the mandate of Ciprian Ciucu," through investments in schools, kindergartens, renovated neighborhoods, public spaces, safety, and mobility.

The REPER-Ciucu partnership covers multiple directions: preventing gender-based violence, modernizing educational infrastructure, protecting the environment, urban sustainability, unifying digital systems, modernizing heating systems, and increasing selective waste collection.

"REPER chose to support the candidate who can deliver results, regardless of political label, a leader oriented towards Europe, modern governance, and data-based public policies, with competence being the determining criterion. This is our line, and for this, we take responsibility," stated representatives of the REPER party.

The elections for the Mayor of the Capital will take place on December 7.

Several candidates are running in the race, including Ciprian Ciucu (PNL), Daniel Băluţă (PSD), and Cătălin Drulă (USR).

According to an AtlasIntel survey published on Monday, Ciucu is in the first place in voting intentions, followed by Băluţă by less than one percent.

In the context of the electoral competition for the Mayor of Bucharest, Spotmedia.ro aimed to interview the main three candidates entering this significant political race.

All possible steps have been taken to conduct an interview with Daniel Băluță (PSD), the mayor of Sector 4. As of now, there is no confirmation for this discussion.
