At 8 in the morning, on the day of the Romanian presidential vote, an important gesture was made by the former candidate – Călin Georgescu: He went to vote with George Simion… and the leader of AUR said he voted for Călin Georgescu.
George Simion came together with Călin Georgescu to vote at a polling station in Mogoşoaia.
"I am not here to acknowledge a fraud, like these elections, a fraud orchestrated by those who have made cunning the only state policy. But I am here to acknowledge the power of democracy, the power of the vote, which scares the system, which terrifies the system. I am here for the interest of the Romanian people, for their dignity, their greatness, their nobility, because the destiny and rights of the Romanian nation are eternal," declared Călin Georgescu in his characteristic style.

"The time has come to take our country back and, of course, liberated from the boors and back to the second round. Lift up your hearts and you will be free only with God ahead," added the former candidate.

And George Simion stated that he voted for Călin Georgescu.

"I voted for Călin Georgescu. We are here with one mission: to return to constitutional order, to return to democracy. I have no other goal than the first place for the Romanian people, in whose service I am. We are here with the people and for the Romanian people. We are here with one desire. To bring justice to Romania," George Simion also said.
