Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Romania on Tuesday evening for the Patriot system that the Parliament in Bucharest approved to be transferred to Ukraine.
„We rely on the Patriot system, which Romania is preparing to transfer. I am grateful for this assistance from Romania. This is something that will truly support our people, our country, our entire region,” Zelensky said in his nightly video address to his compatriots.
Zelensky mentioned that he had a meeting with the chiefs of staff to discuss the use of air defense systems and the protection of Ukrainian cities and communities, and together with Ukrainian commanders, they identified measures to make the systems Ukraine already has more efficient.
"We are also working to obtain additional protection for Ukraine," the leader in Kiev stated.
"Of course, we continue to work with all partners for stronger solutions to support our defense - for solutions with a long-range action that could destroy a significant part of Russian ballistic missiles before they are launched," added the President of Ukraine.
