President Nicușor Dan commented on Wednesday the drinking water crisis in Dâmbovița and Prahova, stating that the blame for the issues at the Paltinu dam lies with the National Administration „Apele Române”.
The head of state added that, following such an incident, it is necessary to establish the culprits.
"Obviously, following such a situation, we need to identify the culprits. In my opinion, but of course there are regulatory authorities that will do that, in my opinion, the blame lies with Apele Române," he stated, after attending an event alongside ambassadors of EU countries.

Asked about the demand for the resignation of the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, Nicușor Dan said that we are in the last week of the campaign and this week political statements are being made.
"First of all, let's not forget that we are in the last week of the electoral campaign, so let's read these statements in this context," said the head of state.
The President also mentioned that he discussed the situation in the two counties more often with the Minister of Energy.
"I have discussed more often with the Minister of Energy, because he is in charge of energy. At the moment, things are under control. Transelectrica has organized itself," stated Nicușor Dan.
Tens of thousands of people from 13 localities in the counties of Prahova and Dâmbovița have been without drinking water since Friday, November 28, due to works at the Paltinu reservoir.
The Minister of Environment, Waters, and Forests, Diana Buzoianu, stated on Wednesday that the delivery of drinking water will resume from Monday, December 8.
In the meantime, residents in these areas will receive drinking water from the State Reserves, following a decision by the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU), approving the provision of emergency humanitarian aid to the localities affected by the lack of drinking water.
