Explosions were also recorded at dawn in the city of Luhansk, under Russian occupation.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that during the night air defenses destroyed over 200 drones in 17 regions.

The city was left without electricity after power lines were damaged. Large fires broke out in Odesa following an airstrike targeting several warehouses and buildings.
Meanwhile, the ceasefire ended in the area around the city of Oleshky, occupied by the Russians. Melania Trump announced that nearly 800 people were evacuated. However, Sky News has evidence that the Russians took advantage of the ceasefire to bring equipment and infantry into the city.
Amid reciprocal attacks, Moscow and Kyiv declare themselves open to talks to end hostilities. Volodymyr Zelensky stated he is ready to meet with Putin in Turkey but categorically ruled out accepting territorial concessions.
At the same time, the Ukrainian president declared that his country will stop attacks on Russian refineries, as requested by Donald Trump, if Washington supplies Kyiv with Patriot interceptor missiles.
What is happening in Russia and the occupied territories
- Oil center hit by drones - Several drones struck the oil center in Samara in the early hours of the morning, causing a fire at an important pipeline facility. The attack most likely targeted the Samara Linear Production and Dispatch Station (LPDS), located near the locality of Prosvet, where a fire was reported, according to Kyiv Post. The independent Astra channel reported seeing smoke near the station, quoting local residents who said they heard explosions. The Russian regional governor, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, confirmed that air defense systems and mobile response groups were responding to a drone attack at dawn but did not specify the targeted objectives. LPDS Samara is an important facility in Russia’s pipeline network that ensures the reception, storage, and subsequent transport of crude oil.
- Explosions in Luhansk - The Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ reported explosions in the city of Luhansk, under Russian occupation, in the early hours of the day. Later, the source cited by Kyiv Post reported that a local telecommunications company had been targeted earlier but did not provide further details.
- Over 200 drones intercepted - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 212 Ukrainian drones during the night. According to the ministry, these were shot down over 17 regions – including Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Voronezh, Pskov, Oryol, Lipetsk, Saratov, Samara, Ryazan, Tambov, and Rostov – as well as over the Moscow region and Krasnodar region. The ministry also reported interceptions over Crimea, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov.
- War resumes in Oleshky - The ceasefire established between October 27 – November 1 in the area around the city of Oleshky, in the Kherson region under Russian occupation, has ended, announced Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, according to Ukrainska Pravda. He stated that both parties honored their commitments throughout the ceasefire, which allowed humanitarian aid to be delivered in Oleshky, and civilians wishing to leave received support to do so safely. The US First Lady, Melania Trump, the initiator of the agreement, declared that nearly 800 people were evacuated.
- How the Russians took advantage of the ceasefire - Sky News broadcast footage showing how the Russians, under the cover of the ceasefire, brought heavy equipment and ammunition into Oleshky, reinforced their positions, and rotated armed forces. "Under the cover of a ceasefire, Russian soldiers began transporting heavy military equipment and ammunition. Heavy armored vehicles can be clearly seen on the streets. Ukrainians claim that none of this has anything to do with the humanitarian mission," the report cited by Ukrainska Pravda states. Drone footage also showed Russian soldiers carrying large sacks into houses and buildings with basements. The occupiers moved through the city and disappeared into damaged and burned buildings. According to the commander of the 34th Marine Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Dmytro Pulinets, previously Russian soldiers would not have dreamed of moving like this through the city, "neither day nor night, nor in bad weather. Now they have this possibility. And in the last few days, this movement has been constant – both day and night," he said.
What is happening in Ukraine and on the front
- Bombing attack in Izium - One person was killed and at least three were injured following a Russian airstrike on the city of Izium, in the Kharkiv region. A bomb hit a four-story apartment block, and several cars caught fire. Also, the post office building caught fire. Due to damage to high-voltage lines, the city was left completely without electricity, reports Ukrainska Pravda.
- Fires in Odesa - Five people were injured in Odesa following a Russian attack. Large fires broke out after strikes on warehouses. A gas pipeline, an apartment block, several buildings, and a garage were damaged, announced the Ukrainian Emergency Service.
- Nearly 200 drones - Russia attacked Ukraine with 193 drones during the night. Air defense forces destroyed 154 drones, including 58 with reactive propulsion. Strikes were recorded in 26 locations. More than six attack drones were still in the air in the morning, and combat operations continued, announced the Ukrainian Air Forces.
Peace talks
- Zelensky ready to meet Putin in Turkey - Zelensky declared he is ready to meet Putin in Turkey to discuss a ceasefire, security guarantees, and occupied territories. "We are ready for this meeting in Turkey. I know President Erdoğan has his own connections with Putin. Therefore, we support organizing a meeting in Turkey," Zelensky said in an interview with CNN Türk. He specified that a ceasefire along the front line and a mechanism to monitor compliance with any agreements should be among the main topics of a possible meeting. He mentioned that security guarantees, Ukraine’s reconstruction, and the status of the occupied territories should also be discussed. However, Zelensky categorically ruled out accepting Putin’s demands for Ukraine to cede the Donbas region or recognize Crimea as Russian territory – such concessions would violate the Ukrainian Constitution.
- Kiev sets conditions for the USA - Zelensky stated that his country will stop attacks on Russian refineries, as requested by Donald Trump, if Washington supplies Kyiv with Patriot interceptor missiles, AFP reported on Monday. In an appearance on the American television channel Fox News, he indicated that he had "several conversations" on this subject with the US president and his team. "I said that we cannot respond as long as Russia attacks our energy sector and kills our population," the Ukrainian president emphasized. "I conveyed that if you want us not to attack Russian refineries, then the Russians must not attack our energy system. Another option: give us Patriot missiles," Zelensky continued. He added that if Washington provides these air defense systems used to intercept drones and Russian missiles for 30 days, Kyiv will halt its attacks against Russian refineries for the same period.
