Artist Robbie Williams confessed in an episode of the podcast „I’m ADHD! No You’re Not,” hosted by Paul Whitehouse and Dr. Mine Conkbayir, that he suffers from Tourette’s syndrome.
„It’s clear to me that I have this syndrome. I was walking down the street the other day and realized that these intrusive thoughts are inherent to this syndrome.” Often, this syndrome manifests more outwardly through involuntary movements and gestures, amplified by stress, excitement, or fatigue.
He also believes that he is on the autism spectrum, even though this has not been diagnosed by a doctor.
The 51-year-old singer also confesses in this podcast that he suffers from depression, isolation, agoraphobia, and a form of discomfort related to celebrity, a "serious cocktail," he says. "When I'm in bed, I feel in my comfort zone. Anywhere else, I feel uncomfortable," he says.
These disorders were "horrible" in his "20s," but have improved over the years, even though he still feels "uncomfortable in his own skin." "I've tried to remedy them with medication and I'm still trying to find the cause and reason," he stated. His partner, Ayda Field, is currently his best remedy.
The performer of the song "Angels" also stated that he suffers from "post-traumatic stress" at the thought of going on stage.
Diagnosed with attention deficit disorder about 20 years ago, Robbie Williams, who rose to fame in the 1990s with the band Take That, has struggled with multiple addictions since his youth, spending several periods in detox centers.
