Rob Reiner, Iconic Film Director, and Wife Michele Die; Police Investigating

A shocking news shakes the film world, after director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The information was published by the American website TMZ, citing sources from the investigation.

Two lifeless bodies were discovered on Sunday afternoon in the home of Rob and Michele Reiner, and sources within law enforcement have confirmed that they are the two spouses. The same sources claim that both had "cuts compatible with a bladed weapon (knife - ed.)."

The investigation is ongoing and is being coordinated by the Homicide Division of the Los Angeles Police Department. So far, authorities have not provided official details on the exact circumstances of the deaths of the couple.

Rob Reiner, 78 years old, was the son of the famous actor and comedian Carl Reiner, who passed away in 2020. He began his showbiz career in the '60s as a comedy writer.

In the '70s, Reiner became extremely well-known as an actor, playing the character Michael Stivic, nicknamed "Meathead," in the successful series "All in the Family." The role earned him two Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The series ended in 1979 after 205 episodes, at which point Reiner increasingly turned to directing.

As a director, he has a number of films in his portfolio considered classics today: "Stand By Me," "The Princess Bride," and "When Harry Met Sally…". During the filming of "When Harry Met Sally…," Rob Reiner met photographer Michele Singer, who would become his wife in 1989. Their relationship even influenced the ending of the famous film, as Reiner decided that the characters played by Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan would end up together.

Throughout a marriage of over 35 years, Reiner continued to direct successful films, including "Misery," "A Few Good Men," "The American President," "The Bucket List."

Michele Singer Reiner was 68 years old. The two had three children together, Jake, Nick, and Romy. Rob Reiner also had a daughter, Tracy, from his first marriage to director Penny Marshall.

The authorities' investigation continues, and as of this moment, no official conclusions regarding the exact cause of the deaths have been made public.
