Cristi Chivu, criticized by Fabio Capello: The Italian's harsh verdict

Fabio Capello criticized Cristi Chivu (45 years old), the coach of Inter, after the success obtained in the derby against Juventus (3-2, in Serie A).

The legendary Capello expressed disappointment in Chivu because the Romanian coach did not acknowledge that the expulsion of Pierre Kalulu was a refereeing mistake.

Capello said he expected a different approach from the Romanian coach, considering the way he had behaved until now.

"I know Chivu well, he was my player at Roma, but his statements after the match deeply disappointed me. He was not consistent, considering what he had stated just one day before the match. It seemed like he wanted to justify what happened, but actions speak louder than words. I would have expected statements of a different nature from him, especially after a victory," said Fabio Capello, quoted by the Italian press.

Pierre Kalulu was sent off for accumulating yellow cards in the 42nd minute of the Inter - Juventus 3-2 match. The referee made a mistake on the second yellow card, as TV replays showed that there was no contact between Kalulu and Bastoni in the incident that led to his expulsion.

Following this victory, Inter has accumulated 61 points and is leading in Serie A. The following teams, AC Milan and Napoli, have 53 and 50 points, respectively, but the city rival has played one game less.
