Alessandro Altobelli convinced by Cristi Chivu: Firm verdict from the legendary Italian

Alessandro Altobelli (70 years old), the former legendary footballer of Inter, has been convinced by Cristi Chivu, after the Romanian’s first half of the season on the „nerazzurri’s” bench.

The former striker believes that Inter made the right choice when they appointed Chivu as coach instead of Simone Inzaghi.

Altobelli thinks that the Romanian should be admired for the work he puts in at Inter since taking over the coaching position.

"We are talking about a former player, who played football for many years and understands certain dynamics well. He has already coached Inter's youth team, knows the environment well. I don't think he can be criticized for anything, on the contrary, we can only admire him. We can say that Inter made the right choice, and he is rewarding the management with excellent results," said Alessandro Altobelli, according to the Italian press.

Inter leads the Serie A standings with 46 points after 20 matches.

In the Champions League, Inter is currently sixth in group XXL, with 12 points, a position that qualifies them directly for the knockout stage.

Altobelli scored 209 goals in Inter's jersey, in 465 matches played between 1977 and 1988.
