President Nicușor Dan arrived in Iași on Friday, directly from Brussels.
Dozens of people booed him when he arrived in front of the National Theatre.
After getting out of the car, Nicușor Dan was greeted by protesters shouting "Shame," "Traitor," and "Go to Ukraine."
A man shouted several times at Nicușor Dan: "You are the weakest president."
Undeterred, Nicușor Dan waved to the protesters and entered the National Theatre.
The President is attending the festive ceremony organized on the occasion of the 165th anniversary of the founding of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University and the "George Enescu" University of Arts in Iași.
Today, the President also has a meeting scheduled with the MAVIS Artificial Heart team at the "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași.
Then, starting at 5:00 PM, Nicușor Dan will participate in a video conference meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing."
From 7:00 PM, he has separate meetings scheduled with representatives of the business environment, with Mayor Mihai Chirica, and with the President of the Iași County Council, Costel Alexe, both liberals with multiple criminal cases.
