The great Patrick Vieira, big words after Stanciu's debut goal at Genoa: "He brings me this into the team"

Nicolae Stanciu scored on his debut in his first official match for Genoa, in a Coppa Italia game against Vicenza.

Immediately, the performance of the Romanian international, captain of the Romanian national team, was analyzed and even praised by the great French coach Patrick Vieira, former European and World champion with France in 1998 and 2000.

Stanciu scored the 3-0 goal with a devastating volley from about 14 meters, and at the end, Patrick Vieira spoke about the captain of the Romanian national team.

“He is an experienced player with quality. He came with his calmness and technical quality. He will help the team to be even stronger in the final third. I am not surprised at all by what he did!

He is the first to arrive in the gym and the last to leave. He works hard, and his mobility has helped us to have superiority in midfield,” said Patrick Vieira, according to genova24.it.

Genoa starts the new Serie A season on August 23, at home against Lecce. Stanciu was brought to Genoa by Dan Șucu this summer, after his contract with the Saudi team Damac FC expired. Stanciu is the captain of the national team, with 81 matches and 15 goals for Romania.
