The German press, announcement about Ianis Hagi's transfer to Borussia Moenchengladbach

Free from contract after parting ways with Rangers, Ianis Hagi (26 years old) could end up in Germany.

The Romanian international is still looking for a new team, and his name has been „linked” to Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hoffenheim.

German journalists are writing about the possible move of Ianis to Borussia Moenchengladbach, which is looking for "reinforcements in the creative area."

The Germans claim that, as Ianis Hagi is free from contract, his transfer can be done "easier than ever before."

"Discussions with Gladbach confirmed. The transfer, easier than ever before," German media titled.

Ianis needs to sign with a new team as soon as possible to start training: "Hagi is officially free from contract, after not extending his agreement with Rangers. That's why the transfer of the talented midfielder is easy to make. It only requires agreement with the player. (...) Gladbach is looking for a replacement for Alassane Plea, reinforcements in the creative area," writes the German press.

Ianis Hagi has been free from contract since this summer, after leaving Rangers.

He played for the club at Ibrox Park between 2020 and 2025.
