The media organization MeidasTouch, which owns the most popular podcast in the United States, has released a video clip on its YouTube channel about Nicușor Dan’s victory in the elections.
„Trump suffers a major defeat in the shocking elections in Romania” is the title of the video posted on MeidasTouch’s YouTube channel, with 4.83 million subscribers.
Ben Meiselas, the creator of the video, emphasizes that the outcome of the elections in Romania is a significant defeat for Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

"Romania has spoken. They want closer ties with the European Union. They want democracy. They want to support Ukraine. It is a major defeat for Donald Trump and MAGA, who supported George Simion, who emerged as a Romanian Trump, as a Romanian MAGA leader. It is a major defeat for Vladimir Putin and for extreme right-wing autocracies worldwide," he comments at the beginning of the video.
The creator also included images of people celebrating in the center of the Capital for Nicușor Dan's victory.
One of the explanations for this result, Meiselas says, is that there was an increase in young voters in Bucharest and other areas who went to the polls: "They saw what happened in early May in the first round, when Simion, although not obtaining a majority of votes, led in the number of votes. And I think young people said, 'our future will be completely destroyed by this MAGA candidate of Putin. Romania will be handed over to Putin'."
The video quickly garnered over half a million views and over 5,000 comments.
Ben Meiselas then created another video about the outcome of the elections in Romania, posted on Monday, titled "Trump receives nightmare news as world elections crush him."
The material gathered over 16,000 views and over 200 comments in just 14 minutes after publication.
